1. Thermal measurement testing technology and instruments

It focuses on energy conservation, emission reduction and environmental protection, with a focus on the flow measurement technologies of energy and resource in the form of fluids. Based on single-phase and multi-phase fluid flow theory, It aims to develop new sensors and flow measurement methods for single-phase flow and multi-phase flow. Using modern sensor technology, intelligent instrument design principle, modern information processing technology, multi-sensor data fusion technology, CFD simulation technology in in electricity, optics, acoustics, microwave and etc. It aims to detect complex fluid flow characteristics, multi-phase flow mechanism and phase-separated flow, and achieve multiphase flow parameter calibration. It cultivates high-level engineering and technical personnel with solid foundations in thermal measurement theory and capable of independently solving complex engineering problems in the field of thermal engineering.

2. Non-destructive testing technology and special equipment

It focuses on the requirements of safety performance inspection and testing of national special equipment and related fields, it takes the lead in carrying out research in the whole life cycle inspection and monitoring of special equipment, composite material acoustic emission monitoring and other aspects, and makes contributions to the theory and practice of this direction. Based on the systematic mastery of advanced nondestructive testing technologies such as ultrasonic imaging, the analysis and discussion of defect location, type identification, operation condition analysis and fault diagnosis of composite materials and special equipment structures are carried out, and the integrity and safety evaluation is carried out based on the mechanical theory and failure analysis technology. It is dedicated to training high quality engineering and technical personnel with solid basic knowledge of nondestructive testing and strong ability of practice and innovation.

3. Precision machinery and instrument design

It based on the design theory of modern precision machinery products with the aim of intelligent, miniaturization, integration and network of instruments, covering the comprehensive application such as modern design methodology and measurement and control technology, mechatronics technology, intelligent structural system and technology, and micro-electro-mechanical and dynamic testing technology. Studying the theory and method of automobile system dynamics and safety detection and control and the material of large-capacity battery and its detection equipment to explore the mechanism of capacity attenuation and detection technology. Designing the structural design and drive control system of piezoelectric actuator. Studying mechanical properties of mechanical components and its reliability theory and testing technology. It is committed to cultivating applied talents with solid theoretical foundation of mechanical and product design, strong scientific research ability, and mastery of cutting-edge technologies in the field of precision machinery and inspection.

4. Food and drug testing technology and standardization

It focuses on the requirements of metrological testing and standardization system construction in the field of national food and drug quality and safety, with a focus on the research of food and drug quality standardized testing methods and instruments, food and drug production and quality management, food and drug origin identification methods and other fields with distinctive quality control characteristics. Based on analytical chemistry and quality management, incorporating statistics, metrology, computer science, electronic information science and other disciplines of knowledge, developing practical training in such characteristic research subjects as trace analysis of banned ingredients in food and drugs, key technology of food and drug quality control, and method of tracing the origin of geographical indicated products to cultivate a batch of professionals in the field of food and drug quality control with solid foundation and broad vision.

5. Photoelectric detection technology and instruments

It focuses on the basic theory, engineering technology, core devices, information processing, equipment development and application in the field of photoelectric nondestructive testing, with a focus on the research of optical sensor components, photoelectric sensing system, photoelectric automatic control system, information processing and other technical fields. Using laser, infrared, ultraviolet and other modern photoelectric analysis technologies to establish efficient and rapid detection methods targeted for environmental pollution, biomedical objects and other research on measurement uncertainty. Aiming at the optical characteristics of environmental pollutants, modern spectral techniques are used to study the characteristic spectral lines of main toxic and harmful environmental pollutants, and high-sensitivity, low-cost and real-time on-line monitoring devices for environmental pollutants are developed. Intelligent lighting system and optical communication system are developed based on semiconductor lighting source. It focuses on the cultivation of compound engineering and technical talents in optical, electronic, control systems and information processing technology.
